Hey y’all!
So last week we discussed the hot
topic in the NFL Mr. Antonio Brown and how he is no longer apart of the
Organization due to sexual assault allegations that led to his release. This
week I wanted to give you the latest news on him as well as touch on Americas
favorite past time, baseball. The MlB is in coming to an end soon so playoffs
are in full swing.
Antonio as most of us have seen has
been very active on social media this past week with arguing with players. His
latest news to his life is filing for grievance for all the money he has lost
in the last few weeks with the NFL. “Brown is the first player in NFL history
poised to file nine grievances and appeals during the same time period”
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN (Duncan, 2019). AB is attempting to collect over 61 million
dollars that he believes is missing from his bank. The list of nine consists of fine appeals from
the Oakland Raiders $215,000, guaranteed money from them as well for $29 million.
Signing bonus with the Raiders of $1 million and a weekly salary of $860,000
from the organization. The last four come from the Patriots organization first
for the guaranteed $1 million, signing bonus of $9 million, unpaid week 3
salary of $64,000 and the Patriots option year 2020 for $20 million dollars. All
this money is what Brown is intending to get for him being released in the last
weeks and how he was treated by these organizations. Brown can continue to sue
the NFL if he wants given the NFL has not suspended him yet for the sexual
allegations against him. So as of this moment he is still a free agent who says
he is done playing in the NFL but will that last? DO you think a team will sign
him anytime soon given all the drama he causes and how much of a toxic person
he is?
Moving
onto MLB news. Last night the American League Wild Card game was played by the Washington
Nationals and the Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee scored right away in the first
inning scoring 2 runs then scoring 1 in the second where they lead the game 3-0.
Washington soon gets on the board when Turner hits a 405 foot homerun to the
left center. Leading into the 4th inning where both teams went
scoreless until the 8th inning came around. It was as if the Nationals
lite a fire under them to finish out this game, they scored 3 times to give them
the lead leading into the 9th inning where they ended up clinching
the win to continue there fight to get into this years world series. The
brewers season is now over where they ended up 89-73 with the season and 2nd
in the NL Central.
Starting Friday the
National League Division series will start where the St. Louis Cardinals will
take on the Atlanta Braves. The American League Series will also begin where the
Minnesota Twins will take on The New York Yankees. Who Will win? Guess we will have
to wait and see!
Come back next week to find out who
will be playing in the Championship series. Will it be your team or the team
you hates lucky year.
GO BRAVES!
